Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Annual Notification

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords eligible students certain rights with respect to their education records.  An "eligible student" under FERPA is a student who is either 18 years of age or older or one who is enrolled in a postsecondary institution.  Students' rights under FERPA include:  1) the right to inspect and review their education record, 2) the right to request amendment of their education record if they believe it is inaccurate or misleading, and, 3) the right to provide written consent before the University discloses personally identifiable information from a student's education record, except to the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent.  Details and the University's full and official FERPA policy are available at www.duq.edu/ferpa.  

Notice of Nondiscrimination and Nonharassment Policy

Right to Amend

As the educational process from admission through graduation requires continuing review and appropriate approval by University officials, the provisions of this catalog are to be considered directive in character. The University, therefore, reserves the right to change requirements and regulations contained herein, including fees, tuition, board and room, and to determine whether an individual has satisfactorily met the requirements for admission or graduation.

The material contained herein is subject to change from time to time and this publication cannot be considered an agreement or contract between individual students and the University.

The University reserves the right to alter or amend the terms, conditions, and requirements herein, and to eliminate programs or courses as necessary.

Security Statistics, Policies and Procedures

In accordance with the College and University Security Information Act (Pennsylvania Act 73 of 1988) and the U.S. Student Right to Know and Security Act. (P.C. 101-542), information regarding Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s crime statistics, security policies and procedures is available in the Admissions Office, and daily crime logs are available for review in the Public Safety Department.

Title IX Sexual Harassment & Sexual Misconduct

Any person may make a non-confidential report of sex discrimination, including sexual harassment (whether or not the person reporting is the person alleged to be the victim of conduct that could constitute sex discrimination or sexual harassment), in person, by mail, by telephone, or by electronic mail, using the contact information listed for the Title IX Coordinator, or by any other means that results in the Title IX Coordinator receiving the person’s verbal or written report. Such a report may be made at any time (including during non-business hours) by using the telephone number or electronic mail address, or by mail to the office address, listed for the Title IX Coordinator below.
