Many first-year students live on campus, and many elect to remain in campus living learning facilities for all or most of their time at Duquesne. Why? Simple: you have a variety of options, convenient locations and immediate access to other campus amenities.

Variety

  • More than a dozen different dining spaces are open at different times—some even 24/7. Whatever your dietary needs, you can find what you need on campus.
  • Seven campus Living Learning centers give you a variety of spaces to live, including some suite and apartment-style options as well as single rooms.

Convenience

  • An array of grab-and-go dining spots are near—or inside—most Living Learning centers.
  • ATMs, Health Services, wellbeing programs, prescription services, Career Services and other offices and services are all right nearby in the Union.

Access

  • You want an early morning workout? Late night study session? Easy trip home after cheering on the Dukes at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse? Recreation facilities, Gumberg Library, and athletic events are easily accessible.
  • Numerous activities occur on campus throughout the year, from musical performance to theatre to social events and more.

Convenient as campus is, some students choose to live nearby and commute to campus in their later years. As a commuter, you still have access to amenities and services—just at a greater distance.

For dining, commuters may wish to purchase , which is additional money you can load on your DU Card. When PLUS is applied, your DU Card works like a debit card for food. You can spend PLUS at every Â鶹ֱ²¥ Dining Services location on campus. As an added bonus, you will receive a percentage in additional PLUS dollars when the funds are loaded onto your card.

You also have the choice of purchasing PLUS Plans, which are larger amounts of PLUS that can be billed to your student account. For more information, visit Duquesne Dining.
