Contract Requirements
All University contracts must be reviewed by the Office of Legal Affairs before being signed. Legal review of University contracts is not required if the contract is based entirely on an unaltered template previously approved by the Office of Legal Affairs. For approved contract templates, please contact Shane Sarver at sarversFREEDUQUESNE or (412) 396-1445. Further, all University contracts, including amendments, must be signed by the President, Provost, or Senior Vice President for Finance and Business. All University contracts with a fiscal component must be signed by the Senior Vice President for Finance and Business. Those University contracts without a fiscal component may be signed by the Provost. (See TAP 64, Section F)
