The primary purpose of the Information Systems and Technology Advisory Council (ISTAC) is to share industry experience in the application of IST capabilities and resources to the successful management and operation of commercial, private, and government activities. The Council is also tasked with working with IST faculty in the development of curriculum and student activities to:
- Assure appropriate scope and currency of IST curriculum offerings
- Attract IST student enrollment
- Facilitate student and graduate job placement
