The below are current or upcoming offerings:

  • 14th Annual McGinley-Rice Symposium: The Face of the Person Who is Incarcerated
    (October 2023)
  • Carol Carfang Nursing & Healthcare Ethics Conference
    (March 2025)
  • Genomic Competencies for Nurses: An Online Course*
    (offered twice each year)
    Participants will be able to earn up to 21 contact hours with inclusion of the optional Primer Module upon completion of the course and subsequent requirements.
  • Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program
    (offered three times each year)
    The complete number of contact hours for SANE courses, include:
    • SANE Clinical Preceptor Course – Review Course (up to 6 contact hours)
    • SANE Quarterly Review Session (1.5 contact hours per session; two sessions per semester)
    • SANE Monthly Education Session (1 contact hour per session; several sessions per semester)
    • SANE Didactic Course** (up to 55 contact hours)
    • SANE DOJ Campus Module (up to 6 contact hours)
    • DOJ Monthly Education Sessions (1 contact hour per session; several sessions per semester)

Replacement Certificates

The School of Nursing offers events and grant-funded programs designed to engage current nurses and enhance their knowledge. All program participants are awarded a certificate upon completion of the program; however, if a participant needs to order a replacement certificate, we do charge a nominal fee of $10.
