Duquesne's Palumbo-Donahue School of Business has again been recognized on Corporate Knights' Better World MBA Ranking. The University's One-Year MBA program is the highest-ranked U.S. program and came in second globally.
The rankings identify MBA programs that instill purpose in tomorrow’s business leaders and ensure they have the skills and values to build a more inclusive economy that benefits society and the natural world.
“Our intentional weaving of sustainable business practices throughout disciplines prepares sought-after talent who make a difference,” said Dr. Karen Donovan, senior associate dean, academic programs and executive education. “As part of our experiential curriculum, students integrate sustainability into innovative solutions that drive bottom-line results for organizational partners.”
To determine the ranking, Corporate Knights evaluated 209 business schools across two key performance indicators:
- The proportion of core courses that integrate relevant sustainable development themes.
- The percent of recent alumni working for impact organizations, including non-profits and companies whose primary focus is providing solutions to social and/or environmental issues.
“This latest recognition underscores the importance of sustainability to modern business as well as the quality of our hands-on curriculum,” said Dr. Dean McFarlin, dean, Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. “The commitment of our faculty and placement record of our graduates in difference-making leadership positions continue to impress.”
