Biography
Robert F. Kravetz is an adjunct law professor at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Â鶹ֱ²¥. Professor Kravetz is a former Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware. As an Assistant United States Attorney, Professor Kravetz gained substantial investigative, litigation, trial, and appellate experience involving a wide array of federal criminal offenses, including financial institution, securities, and health care fraud. As Chief of Appeals, Professor Kravetz supervised the Office's written advocacy and conducted oral arguments before the United States Court of Appeals. He received the Executive Office of United States Attorneys Director’s Award, one of the Department of Justice’s highest honors. He also received the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Attorney of the Year Award.
Professor Kravetz also served as an Assistant Professor of Law at Duquesne Kline for two years, teaching first year Torts and Federal Criminal Law. He currently prosecutes class and private actions on behalf of individual and institutional clients. Professor Kravetz has been part of case teams responsible for securing over $1 billion in recoveries for investors. In Summer 2023, Professor Kravetz was co-lead trial counsel in In re Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Senior Preferred Stock Purchase Agreement Class Action Litigations, Case No. 1:13-mc-1288 (RCL) (D.D.C.), in which Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac investors secured an historic $612 million verdict in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia relating to the government takeover of Fannie and Freddie during the 2008 Financial Crisis.
Professor Kravetz served as a law clerk to the Honorable D. Michael Fisher on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and to the Honorable Joy Flowers Conti on the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Professor Kravetz is the past president of the Delaware Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and a recipient of the Caleb R. Layton III Service Award, chosen by the Judges of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
