Biography
Jodi Licata was a professional staff nurse and Programmatic Nurse Specialist (PNS) at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for 18 years in the pediatric intensive care unit. As a Programmatic Nurse Specialist, she was an expert in professional practice, guided transformational leadership across disciplines, fostered education and development, promoted quality and innovation and created healthy work environments
Previously, she also worked as a Legal Nurse Consultant, travel nurse in San Diego, San Francisco, and New York City, a substitute school nurse in the North Allegheny School District, taught at Georgetown University in the Department of Advanced Nursing Practice and Health Studies as an adjunct assistant professor and worked as a clinical adjunct faculty teaching in pediatrics and critical care.
In her current role at Duquesne, Licata is a Clinical Assistant Professor teaching
the Fundamentals, OB, and Pediatric course.
