Biography

Dr. Tully is an Assistant Professor who is jointly appointed in the School of Nursing and the Center for Global Health Ethics. He received his PhD in Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis, writing a dissertation on the topic of depression. After graduating, he worked for two years as a reviewer for Washington University's IRB before taking a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Tully's research is focused on ethical issues in the research and treatment of mental illness, particularly depression, as well as on topics in ethical theory more broadly.
