Biography
Helena Pingree is a Certified Neurologic and Vestibular Physical Therapist. Helena received a Bachelor of Health Sciences in 1996, and a Master of Physical Therapy in 1997 from Â鶹ֱ²¥. Helena also earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Chatham University in 2012. Additionally, she earned her Certification in Vestibular Physical Therapy from Emory University (Atlanta, GA) in 2013. Currently, Helena will complete the Advanced Vestibular Physical Therapy Certification at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in April, 2024. Current employment is Â鶹ֱ²¥ as an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy; and part-time staff physical therapist for UPMC Rehabilitation Institute, Lemieux Center Outpatient Physical Therapy. Areas of interest include Neurologic and Vestibular Rehabilitation, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Concussion Rehabilitation, Management of Chronic Neurologic Diseases such as Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Cerebellar Disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
