Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration
A combined 256 credits for these two degrees, 214 credits for the PharmD and 42 credits for the MBA, is reduced to 245.5 minimum credits through credit-sharing. Total time to complete both degrees versus just the PharmD is extended by one semester. The MBA must be conferred concurrently or after the PharmD degree.
How to Apply
Students will begin their study in the School of Pharmacy. Students must apply and
be accepted to both programs of study.
Tuition Information
While the student is enrolled in both the PharmD and MBA programs, the PharmD program
will take priority and the Pharmacy tuition rate will apply for all terms except:
- Any term during which a student is enrolled exclusively in MBA courses
- The summer terms during which students take only 0.5 credits of Pharmacy courses, if the student is also enrolled in MBA courses

In addition to the PharmD degree, candidates for pharmacist licensure must also pass the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) to be a licensed pharmacist in the United States. Most states also require passing the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE) to obtain a pharmacist license in that state.
Some states may have additional requirements for pharmacist licensure. Applicants and current students should consult individual state boards for information regarding specific requirements to attain a pharmacist license in that state.
